Our general inability to process geologic time is one of the biggest reasons why we don't easily see the interconnected nature of life.@JohnFugelsang don't do the same at Chirping Chicken.@pmarca and in order to pull that off, we need to face some things about ourselves, our fears. That's why science, art and tech are the way.@pmarca so the "fuse" is a nebulous interconnected system, and the real question is: can we make it visible?@pmarca by the time widespread awareness manifests, dictatorships are woven deeply into the fabric of many layers of life and mind...@pmarca by invisible I don't mean that nobody can see it...more that it hasn't gained critical mass in public imagination and seems isolated@pmarca part of problem (as with so many things) is that dictatorships are visible & tangible, yet process leading up is invisible, nebulous@GennadySimanovs @pmarca grand schemes don't become dictatorships without a mob.@pmarca I realize that only answers the question if what you mean is nipping in the bud, not dealing with entrenched, existing systems.@pmarca they don't start off as powerful as they become.
